Architecture student life

Architecture education at AU

Athabasca University and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) proudly present Canada's first online architectural programs! The RAIC Centre for Architecture at AU provides a new way to study architecture—anytime, anywhere.

Our flexibility extends to our program design—you can choose to pursue a fully academic bachelor’s degree or the work-study RAIC Syllabus Diploma. Within the RAIC diploma, you can also choose between a degree route with additional courses and a parchment, or the existing route with fewer courses and faster completion.

Learning online

Our programs feature academic and technical courses in an online independent-study environment and virtual design studios. This flexible, self-paced, and timely approach is ideal for those with career and family commitments and builds on AU’s proven track record as a global leader in online education.

Learning support

The RAIC Centre for Architecture provides students with worldwide access to high quality programs and courses. In doing so, we ensure our students receive access to important resources such as library services, counselling, financial aid, and examination services.

These online resources remove barriers of time, space, and past educational experiences, and offer you an opportunity to learn in flexible and individualized ways.
