Jocelyn Smith

Jocelyn is the Assistant Coordinator/Trainer in the Faculty of Science and Technology, and in her role, she provides support and systems training for advisors, academic experts, and FST faculty. She also assists in the development and maintenance of procedures and training documentation and works with the Student Success Centre in the provision of services to students.

Jocelyn has worked in post-secondary education for 15 years and has been with Athabasca University since July of 2020. Her background is in accessibility services and program development, and she most enjoys working with students to achieve their educational goals. As an AU learner herself, she understands the rewards and challenges of taking studies by distance and is empathetic to the needs of students.

Jocelyn likes to stay active and enjoys the outdoors, camping, gardening, and hiking. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and has two miniature dachshunds that keep her busy.
