Lyla McDonald

Lyla is one of the FST Student Success Centre Frontline Team. Chances are if you have called into the FST Student Success Centre or sent a message she will have followed up with you in some capacity. Being with the Faculty of Science & Technology since 2014, Lyla has years of information within the realms of our Graduate & Undergraduate Programs & Courses as they have evolved and is very current on the latest FST & AU Processes.

Lyla joined AU in 2007. HR Casual Admin while working in the Athabasca Hospital which became full time in 2008. She moved onto the Faculty of Health Disciplines in 2009, Undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing Program Nursing Clinical Placements triage, and 2014 to FST as a Student Support and Advising Specialist and Course Assistant.

Prior to AU Lyla worked in Athabasca & Cross Cancer Hospitals, 3 of Canada’s Major Airlines as an Airport/Reservations Agent and was a Travel Agent. She has a Travel/Tourism Diploma from McConnell Travel School, Minneapolis; Medical Transcription/Terminology Diploma, CDI College & ultimately, her goal is an Undergraduate AU Certification, once she makes up her mind on which direction she wants to pursue & continue with her online AU learning.
