I studied at colleges in the UK where I received a PhD in biochemistry. I worked in Puerto Rico and then ended up at Athabasca University in 1991 where I run the nutrition courses. At the same time I carry out research (both in Canada and South Africa) in the general area of diet and health. Another major activity is editing/publishing books in the same general area. I love travelling, especially to the Western USA and around Europe.
