Program details

The Bachelor of Science in Architecture (BSc Arch) is a 120-credit online degree program. You must complete at least 30 credits through Athabasca University. If you have an approved diploma or related credentials in architecture (such as a diploma in architectural technology), you can apply for the shorter post-diploma route that may give you 30 credits toward your degree.

Most courses are online individualized study, allowing you to complete the course work at your own pace. Design studio courses are online grouped study and include a weekly videoconference session.

You can get your Bachelor of Science in Architecture in as little as 3 years (post-diploma route) or 4 years (regular route) of full-time study. The post diploma route is for students who have already completed a diploma in a related discipline such as Architectural Technology. Or, work at your own pace and take as long as you need. There is no time limit for completion.

Students also have the option of taking Architecture as a minor.
