Advocacy, Accessibility & Referral
At times it may be necessary for Accessibility Services staff to advocate and liaise on behalf of a student with Faculty, AU Departments, Community Organizations, and Funding Agencies.
Athabasca University and our Integrated Learning Environment are guided by the W3C Web Accessibility Imitative Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) in our content, communications and documents. If you do find an accessibility concern please contact us.
This is one example of an accessibility checklist for online learning ICT that can be applied to ICT (Information, Communication & Technology)
Referral services are required when certain services may not be available through internal resources and may only be accessed through the student's local community or other professional resources.
