Connecting to eduroam
Eduroam allows users to access the internet wirelessly from thousands of locations in over 100 countries around the world. Using AU email credentials, users can access eduroam at AU locations in Edmonton, Athabasca, and at BVC in Calgary. There are over 600 eduroam service locations in Canada alone.
Tips
- You will need to activate your AU Microsoft 365 account to access eduroam.
- Please follow the instructions below to connect to eduroam with your AU account. Selecting the eduroam wireless network and entering your AU credentials will not work.
- We recommend running the setup when you are already online. You do not need to be in an area covered by eduroam to set up your device.
- Sometimes the eduroam connection set up will need to be repeated. If you plan to visit an eduroam site, and have not connected for a while or have changed your password, you may want to perform the set up steps again to ensure you will be able to connect.
You will not be able to connect to eduroam if you are not within eduroam Wi-Fi range. Eduroam has an online map of locations here: Facts & Maps (eduroam.org)
