Athabasca University offers preparatory courses (designated by a number in the 100's) to help you prepare for university studies. Program students should discuss with an advisor how they can incorporate these courses into your program plan.

Communications
- COMM100 - Introduction to Research and Study Skills: Improve your academic skills to be a successful student. This is a great first course for those that have not completed any university or distance education courses.

- ENGL145 - Reading and Writing for Academic Purposes: Strengthen reading and writing skills in preparation for studies at the university level.

Philosophy
